Workington and District Sea Angling Club members competed in their latest match on Workington Pier.
The match was originally scheduled to be fished at Whitehaven but was moved to Workington due to safety concerns over high winds.
At the close, Jamie Lawson was the winner with six whiting, one dogfish and a rockling for 79.5 points.
Simon McAleavey took second place with two dogfish and a rockling for 51 points, and included in this was the heaviest fish of the match which was a dogfish worth 24 points.
In third was Ian Stamper with two whiting a flounder and a rockling for 35.5 points.
Paul Kirkbride came in fourth place with three whiting for 28 points.
Ron Hawley claimed fifth place with two whiting worth 20 points.
The club’s next match is Sunday, January 20 at Salterbeck, fishing is from 3.30 to 7.30pm.
