The mouth-watering Ken Glover Trophy tie between Aspatria and Bransty Rangers became a damp squib due to the weather.

Bransty team manager Eddie Holliday was again required to play in goal but was unable to prevent two strikes from Malcolm Graham and Richard Hudson nosing Aspatria in front.

Bransty replied through Alan Sim but following a deterioration in pitch conditions, the match official abandoned the game 10 minutes into the second period.

The same fate befell the Whitehaven Miners versus UniSun game when the referee called a halt to proceedings in the 32nd minute.

Fixtures in the Smurfit Kappa County League were decimated but Pirelli bagged three valuable away points winning by 3-1 at Wigton while Whitehaven Amateurs Reserves travelled to Crown Newlaithes, coming away with a 4-2 victory.

In poor conditions, Amateurs notched four goals courtesy of a brace from Ben Powell and one apiece from Ryan Smith and Travis Fife.
