On a glorious evening, many Keswick AC runners gathered for the short Loughrigg Fell race - which is part of the club’s fell championships this year.
The run out is steep uphill on tarmac but that gives way to undulating fell going out to the summit and returning the same way, approximately four miles.
Such was the speed of Keswick’s lead runner Jacob Adkin that the slower athletes were barely off the fell track before he came flying down.
He broke the course record by 11 seconds to come in at 25 minutes and 59 seconds.
There was plenty more success to follow as Jordan, Rob Brown and Harry Bolton, won the men’s team prize for Keswick and Mike Mallin took a V60 win.
The ladies dominated in the older age groups, Louise Brown winning the V50, Lyn Thompson, the V60 and Lesley Malarkey the V70.
