Workington Pool League champions Senhouse Street faced JJs A in the first top-four semi-final. Mike Walker of Senhouse St took the first frame before Stephen O’Hagan, Dean Adams and Wayne Hardy gave JJs a 3-1 lead.
Andrew Henderson and John Teasdale tied the game 3-3. The next two were shared but Tom Thompson held his nerve to send Senhouse Street through to the final in a 5-4 victory.
In the second top-four semi, Station Road D hosted the Lifeboat in what appeared to be a tough match. Station Rd D were unforgiving against the Lifeboat. Matt Brown started the winning run that saw Station Road take the match 5-0.
In the B league top-four semis Flimby’s class shone through against Miners A with Shane Evitts and Martyn Fisher getting the winning frame in a 5-3 victory. JJs B will join them in the final after they came through a tricky tie beating the Railway Club 5-4.
In the best-of-the-rest cup Harrington Legion reached the quarter finals with a 5-2 victory over Vinnies Bar. Joining them will be Vets Club after a 5-3 win over Station Road B and Station Road C who won 5-2 over Packhorse B.
