Talented young hooker Blain Marwood has joined Workington Town on a 28-day trial.
The Barrow Island pivot, who was the National Conference League Division Three player of the year back in 2018, is out to impress over the next few weeks.
Marwood is highly regarded in rugby league, also being named man of the series for Cumbria in their tri-counties campaign.
And Town's director of rugby Gary Murdock is delighted to welcome him on board.
He said: "We’ve been watching Blain for a while and he was the standout player in the tri-counties.
"He’s fast, skilful and assured with the ball. He loves to play rugby and is as fit as a fiddle.
"We’re looking forward to seeing him in action."
