Northside were crowned Premier League Divisional Cup winners after a thrilling final with Pack Horse that needed extra time to determine the victor.

Played at Grasslot’s Welfare Ground, Maryport, both teams battled it out with some great shots at goal and some fantastic saves at both ends.

Both sets of defenders put in great last-ditch tackling while the battle in midfield raged on throughout, seeing the score at 1-1 after 90 minutes.

The game went into extra time and it was Northside who had the extra in the tank to run out 3-1 winners thanks to two goals from Stefan Scott and one from Gareth O’Leary. Connor Hammell had scored the Pack Horse goal.

A league game also took place, with Deer Orchard running out 6-1 victors over Senhouse Street who replied with a lone goal for Adam Hodgson.

Finding the back of the net for Deer Orchard were Conor Cooke, Dan Graham, Luke Graham, Callum Horsley and Ben Wright, plus an own goal.

Deer Orchard were back in action in midweek, catching up on their games, with another victory, this time 7-2 over Waverley.

Luke Ivison bagged a brace in the win, with more goals from Rob Cox, Ryan Gorley, Harry Parker, Callum Gorley and Luke Graham.

On Sunday the Premier League Championship will be decided on Curwen Park as Pack Horse and Northside battle it out for the title, from 2pm.
