Stars of the oche are set to visit West Cumbria next month for what will be an emotional darts competition.
Tickets are still available for the second Shaun Weaver Memorial Masters, which will be held at the Royal British Legion Club in Workington on June 8 in memory of the local darts player, who died in December 2017.
The event will be the last run by Maverick Event Promotions and organiser Ben Nicholson, who is Mr Weaver’s godson.
Glen Durrant will be looking to defend the title he won in last year’s inaugural event and will now be joined by Tony O’Shea, Lisa Ashton and Stephen Bunting.
Two-time PDC World Darts Champion Adrian Lewis had been due to play in the competition but later withdrew from the line-up.
Maverick Event Promotions have brought Lewis, Eric Bristow, Glen Durrant, Andy Fordham and other big names to the area over the years but Ben has made the difficult decision to step back.
