Keswick ladies team enjoyed success at last Thursday’s Cumbria One Day Team Event at Workington Golf Club.

Twenty teams took part from across Cumbria at one of the main events for Cumbria ladies, and they, along with their caddies, had a fantastic day with plenty of sunshine and a slight breeze.

The course was playing well with plenty of run for the balls, and the greens were in top condition. The team representing Keswick Golf Club came in the top third and the Keswick team player of the day was Judy Figg. She finished with a nett score of 77 despite having a nine and a 12 on her card.

The handicap knockout competitions are well under way for Keswick ladies, with Sue Elliott, Judy Figg, Alison Lightford and Leslie Kitto getting through to the second round. Just recently Marion Donnelly has made her debut for the Keswick Ladies Cecil Leitch first team.
