Fans are flocking into the Recreation Ground ahead of this afternoon's highly anticipated League 1 clash between Whitehaven and Workington Town.

A win for Whitehaven would put them in the driving seat for automatic promotion and the league title but anything can happen in a West Cumbrian derby.

And Workington Town will be coming into this match on the back of improved performances and hoping to dent Haven's hopes.

Dion Aiye is still missing from the Whitehaven line-up through injury but they do welcome back Jake Moore as he returns on the bench. But other than that the two teams are similar to recent weeks.

Scott Rooke is not in the Town line-up with Russ Bolton on the wing and Calvin Wellington inside at centre.

Much may come from the actions of the four half-backs in today's game with two former Town stars in the Haven pairing of Sam Forrester and Callum Phillips.

And lining up against them are the experienced Carl Forber and Jamie Doran.

Haven: Burns, Bulman, Mossop, Taylor, Thompson, Forrester, C Phillips, Shackley, Dowsett, Coward, Gillam, B Phillips, Wilkinson. Subs: Moore, Forster, Kelly, Newton.

Town: Mellor, Bolton, Wellington, Singleton, Walsh, Doran, Forber, Dawson, Penkywicz, Scholey, Tickle, Maudling, O'Donnell. Subs: Moimoi, Curwen, Barnes, Hopkins.
