WORKINGTON Reds boss Danny Grainger could be forced into changes for tomorrow’s FA Trophy tie at Tadcaster Albion.

After Saturday’s 2-0 league win against Albion a couple of players were nursing knocks.

Grainger said: “We will have to see how they feel after 48 hours but they were a bit sore in the dressing room.

“It’s not easy getting players off work to travel for a midweek game but we are fortunate in having sympathetic employers.

“I think all the lads will be free to travel but it will just depend on how a couple of them recover from their rocks.”

Reds won more comfortably than the 2-0 scoreline suggests, and Grainger was delighted with his side’s performance.

The manager said: “I thought we controlled the game, virtually from start to finish.

“We hardly gave them a look at goal through some good defending and we scored two good goals ourselves.

“I suppose if you want to be picky, we probably should have had more goals from the opportunities we created.

“But overall I was really pleased with how we performed in what was the League’s match of the day.

“It will put us in good heart to go there on Tuesday in the Trophy.

“It will be different down there I’m sure, but it is an important game as it can provide the club with valuable extra cash.

“I feel a little as though we haven’t been treated well by the decision to play the game on a Tuesday night instead of a Saturday.

“We haven’t done anything wrong in all this but have to go there in mid-week which can provide problems.”

Reds won Saturday’s clash with goals from Brad Hubbold and Nathan Waterston, two of the players who picked up knocks during the game at Borough Park.
