Young footballers played on through difficult weather conditions as the West Cumbria Youth League tables began to take shape.
In the Under-12 Red Division, Whitehaven AFC Yellow are top of the table as they won 5-1 at home to Maryport Amateurs on Friday then continued their winning form as they beat Workington Reds Black 3-1 on Sunday.
League leaders Moor Row Reds were 6-0 winners at home to their struggling Blacks side in the Under-13 Division as St Bees’ game with Whitehaven AFC Blue was off.
The Under-14 Division saw Senhouse beat Cockermouth United 4-3 for their second win of the season, table-toppers Seaton United win 9-0 against bottom side Bransty Rangers, Workington Reds see off Whitehaven AFC Yellow 7-0 and challengers Whitehaven AFC Blue run out 5-0 winners against Seaton Athletic.
In the Under-15 Division, a top-of-the-table clash saw Workington Reds White win 6-2 at leaders Whitehaven AFC to move level on 21 points with them.
Whitehaven Miners Social were 9-2 winners at Workington Reds in the Under-16 Division while Cleator Moor Celtic under-15s beat Seaton 2-0 and leaders Workington Rangers under-15s won 5-1 at home to Cockermouth Panthers.
The only Girls’ Under-14 Division game saw Moor Row collect a 4-0 victory on the road at Maryport Amateurs.
