Brigham athlete Bethan Lishman added another clutch of medals to her collection at the British Masters Winter Championships at Lee Valley Indoor Stadium in London.
Lishman is now a two-time British W35 champion in javelin and discus and also collected silver medals in the hammer and weight throw competitions, as well as taking bronze in the shot putt.
She said: “In the weight throw I was agonisingly close to my northern record, just 26c centimetres short.
“In the javelin I beat a lifetime personal best by three metres.
“I went in ranked outside the medals and performed better than I have ever done in my life.
“In my hammer I was a metre off my record as well so it was pretty much a great weekend.”
It was the second time she has competed in the championships after she came away from last year’s competition as a triple champion, taking gold medals in the shot put, hammer throw and discus then.
Lishman, who has previously captained Great Britain’s athletics team in the Deaflympics, is an experienced competitor.
She plans to travel to Toronto in July next but will be undergoing surgery before then to complicate her preparation for that competition.
