ANGLERS were back on the pier last weekend and although it was a disappointing result, they are ready to go again this weekend.
The White Horse Sea Angling Club’s first match back after lockdown, on Sunday April 4, was held on Whitehaven’s North and West piers.
The results proved disappointing for those involved, with only one fish brought to the scales, a two ounce rockling which was weighed in by T.Tew.
White Horse's next match takes place this coming Sunday from Seascale slipway to Harrington pier.
Fishing times for the contest are 9am until 1pm with weigh in to be held at North Shore car park.
A spokesperson for the sea angling club said: “Members are reminded that memberships for this year are now due.”
