Brenden Santi declared Keighley Cougars are looking for promotion ahead of his side's trip to fellow title-chasers Workington Town tomorrow.

The match, which kicks off at 2pm, will see Chris Thorman's Town side look to bounce back from a narrow defeat at the hands of third-placed Doncaster last Sunday.

Fans will again be back at Derwent Park looking to roar on the promotion hopefuls, and the Cougars have also confirmed that travelling support will be permitted to attend the game.

Speaking to the Cougars' Facebook page, Santi said: "There's only one goal isn't there for the team and that is promotion."

Town remain second in the League 1 table, one place and two points behind fellow Cumbrians Barrow Raiders at the top of the division, and despite losing out last weekend will be optimistic due to the tight scoreline against an in-form side.

Keighley have made a strong start to the campaign and currently sit fourth and Thorman has already called for his players to "learn from" last weekend and prepare for their next test.

"We’ve reviewed it, we’ve assessed where we need to improve and sometimes from a coaching point of view it’s just, complete your sets and hold the ball,” said Thorman.

“I know that when we give ourselves an even share of possession we’ll beat just about any team in the competition.”

Meanwhile, Keighley have agreed to release Zach Braham from his contract ahead of their west Cumbria trip.

The Jamaica international forward had only made two appearances for the club.
