Cockermouth RUFC are looking ahead to the new senior season with a launch on Wednesday, June 28.

The meeting, at the club from 6.30pm, is for any player new or old and is looking to play first or second team rugby.

Any players who will turn 17 during the season are welcome to attend.

Pre-season will be a combination of fitness led by Luke Reeson, small sided games led by Ross McGuire and rugby specific coaching by Chris Wright on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at Strawberry How, Cockermouth.

For players who just want a bit of fun training there will be touch rugby games on Wednesday nights 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

Chris Wright will continue next season as head coach, with Ross McGuire as games coach. Luke Reeson will be the fitness coach and the club captain is Liam Stevens.

The first team captain will be Sam Wilson, with Dave Legg taking the armband for the club’s second team, with Wayne Cavanagh vice captain.
