It runs in the family at Cockermouth RUFC where father and son Carl and Josh Whild helped lead the second team to a superb victory over Hawcoat Park at the weekend.
The match was played in awful conditions but Cockermouth emerged victorious from the muddy battle 13-12.
Long standing clubman Carl Whild shrugged off the years to take centre stage and win the man-of-the-match award.
And he combined well with his 23-year-old son Josh on a great run up the wing, interchanging passes much to the delight of the crowd.
A try apiece for Ross McGuire and Tom Norman, plus a penalty from McGuire was enough for Cockermouth to take the win.
