A MUSIC festival has been arranged to coincide with Whitehaven's home game against Doncaster this month.

On Sunday 19, pre-match entertainment, the match itself, and the evening festival will all be included in one ticket, with three stages of live music on offer at The Recreation Ground.

Haven Fest features the best musical performers from around West Cumbria, with more than 20 acts set to appear from noon onward.

Before the match kicks off at 2pm, there will be performances in the bar area from Steve Byrne, Sally Thompson and Georgia Herbert, and on a separate acoustic stage from Jonny Walker and Emily Rogers.

Then following the game, the main stage comes alive: the much-loved Committed 2 Rock choir gets things under way, followed by unplugged pair Kin Acoustic, and highly-regarded local indie band Springfield.

Robert Wright performs as Rod Stewart, and there are also main stage sets from The Misfitz, Phil Lewthwaite, Mama-Sang and the Robot, and Goosey Tyson, before The Mustangz wrap things up late in the evening.

There is also a full post-match line-up in the bar, where Jimmy Maclean, Jonny Walker, Darcey Stables, Amy Morton, Willow Jarvis, Legion, Ben Rowlands, Delta Echoes, and Ellipsis all make appearances, and on the acoustic stage with Joe Riley, Willow Jarvis, David Eldon, and Paul O'Halloran.

Tickets are available now from The Recreation Ground, as well as Sportzone and Stamper Lloyd in Whitehaven, The Kellbank in Gosforth, The Lion and the Lamb in Seascale, and Hensingham Rugby League Club.
