Sophie Swain is an NCTJ-trained reporter covering a wide range of stories in Cumbria. She writes for Cumbrian titles, the News & Star, The Cumberland News, Whitehaven News, Times & Star, Westmorland Gazette and The Mail. Sophie was born in Carlisle and moved to Preston to study Multimedia Journalism where she graduated with a first-class degree and NCTJ Gold Standard qualification. Now back in her hometown, she's passionate about telling the stories that matter to the people of Cumbria. Outside of work she likes going to concerts and spending time with her friends and family.
