A three-vehicle crash closed part of the A595 in Cumbria.
The early morning accident affected a stretch of the busy commuter route at Lillyhall, between Workington and Whitehaven.
The vehicles are involved were a DAF truck, a Dacia Duster and a Seat Ibiza.
It is not believed anyone was seriously hurt.
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 5.30am.
The road was closed in both directions, between the A596 roundabout and Toyota garage roundabout, for several hours.
It caused delays during the busy rush hour period.
But following recovery, police have now confirmed that the route has fully reopened.
