A charity is calling on people to sign up to a Moonlight Memories Walk which will be held later this year.
Hospice at Home West Cumbria has today (MON) launched the event, which will take place on October 6.
It is one of many fundraisers being held throughout the year to mark the charity's 30th anniversary.
Hundreds are expected to walk a six-mile route through Whitehaven, starting and finishing at Tesco, from 10pm.
And to make the walk more memorable, those taking part are asked to dress in 1980s clothes.
To enter register at www.hospiceathomewestcumbria.org.uk or pick up a leaflet from any hospice fundraising shops located in Workington, Whitehaven and Cockermouth.
Entry is £15 per person and is open to everyone 14 years and over. All entrants will receive a goody bag containing a special walk T-shirt, a drink and snack, a rain poncho and a glow necklace.
