The school applied for a grant from Speaking Volumes and was delighted to be awarded £500 to spend on books supporting children in their knowledge and understanding of the Christian faith.
The books were supplied and delivered to school by Cornerstone Christian Bookshop in Whitehaven.
Headteacher Julia Fish said: “We know that the books will be used in the classrooms to enhance our child-led collective worship and give children a greater understanding about how they can apply Christian values to their own lives.
“Some books will also be placed in the reflection areas of the school to support children during times of thoughtfulness.”
The 137-pupil school was recently graded outstanding following an inspection by the Church of England Education Office.
