A man has been banned from contacting his ex-partner after he admitted assaulting her.
Clive Andrew Henderson, 46, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today.
He pleaded guilty to a common assault on Debbie Cummins.
This is said to have occurred at Wigton on January 22 last year.
Judge Tony Lancaster adjourned the case for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Henderson, of Mountain View, Harrington, Workington, is due to learn his fate at the crown court on February 27.
In the meantime he was remanded on unconditional bail.
Judge Lancaster imposed an immediate restraining order. This prohibits Henderson from contacting or approaching Miss Cummins in any way, indefinitely.
