The achievements of more than 100 year eight pupils at Workington Academy have been celebrated at an awards evening.
Awards were given to pupils who achieved academic excellence, for good attendance, excellent citizenship, for activities in and out of school, sporting achievements and some were given tutor awards.
The very first William Howard Trust Award for resilience was made to Megan Weightman while Heather Gibbon and Kieren Wallace were selected as the outstanding pupils of the year.
Pupils Anna Metherall and Heather Gibbon sang at the event.
Gill Creighton, assistant headteacher, said: "The vision at Workington Academy is for young people to develop into young leaders who demonstrate respect, responsibility and resilience as their second nature.
"This was most keenly demonstrated at this event."
