A group of young entrepreneurs from Cockermouth School have been secured a place in the regional finals of a national business competition.
Touch Wood, the school's Young Enterprise company, were runners-up in the Cumbrian heat.
The team made bespoke wooden people puzzles and glow boxes which were sold at The Toy Shop on the town’s Main Street.
Steve Dawson, the school’s head of economics and business, said: "The judges were impressed by the fact they had created bespoke items using Fab Lab equipment.
"They were also really impressed by the report they’d prepared as well."
The team will go to the North East and Cumbria finals in Gateshead next month, with a team from Nelson Thomlinson School in Wigton, who took the Cumbrian top spot.
