Workington MP Sue Hayman took her dog to work with her this week as she tested the pet friendliness of a Cockermouth hotel.
Mrs Hayman and chocolate labrador Max took a trip to Allerdale Court Hotel on Market Place to show her support for dog-friendly businesses.
She said: "Max was made very welcome and he was particularly pleased with the lovely tennis ball that was waiting for him in the dog-friendly bedroom."
Mrs Hayman also visited Silloth Port and Maryport Maritime Museum to find out more about the area's links with the sea.
