Theresa May has fought off more than 100 rebel MPs to win a vote of confidence in her leadership.
A total of 200 MPs voted in favour of the Prime Minister, with 117 MPs voting against her.
Sir Graham Brady - who is the chair of the 1922 Committee responsible for Conservative backbench MPs - revealed the 83 majority at 9pm tonight.
A vote of no confidence was triggered earlier today, after Mr Brady received the 48 letters of no confidence needed to force a leadership contest.
Theresa May needed a total of 50% plus one of all votes cast by MPs to back her, meaning she surpassed the required number of votes by 41.
Revealing the result, Sir Graham Brady said: "The result of the ballot this evening is that the parliamentary party does have confidence in Theresa May."
It means that her leadership cannot be challenged for another 12 months, however the Prime Minister confirmed she would not be standing in the next general election.
