TALENTED children in the Cockermouth area have been impressing judges in an annual Young Artist competition.
The town's Rotary Club runs the contest every year for pupils in Year One and Two. This year's theme was the Beauty of Nature - Shades of Autumn.
Seven of the nine Cockermouth area schools entered. The overall winner was Emily Cookson, of Broughton Primary School Academy. Runner up was Shaiann White, from St Bridget's C of E Primary School, Brigham.
The girls were presented with their certificates and prizes by Rotarians Des McNicholl and youth services chairman Paul Lack.
