Assaulting a police officer who was going about his job landed an 18-year-old man in court.
Barry Grant Loan, 18, appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Workington.
Magistrates heard that he had assaulted the emergency worker in the town on December 16 last year.
Loan, of Rickerby Lane, Portinscale, pleaded guilty to the offence.
He was ordered to pay a fine of £160, along with £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £30 surcharge to help fund victim services.
