Thanks to a hardworking team of fundraisers, Cockermouth School has a new minibus.
The 16-seater vehicle with wheelchair access was leased following £5,000 being raised by Cockermouth School Community Association (CSCA) and a contribution from businessman Bill Dobie.
Lynn Graham is chairman of the CSCA which raises money by serving refreshments at school events and organising a raffle.
"The old minibus kept breaking down," said Lynn.
"This one will be used every day, including by students in Learning Support Development to go to Whinlatter or the Calvert Trust."
Head teacher Rob Petrie said: "The CSCA do a tremendous amount of work, a lot of it behind the scenes and unrecognised. Through their fundraising they have been able to support the school in its purchase of a minibus."
