THOUSANDS of food and drink lovers flocked to Muncaster Castle over the bank holiday weekend.
The three day celebration of all things Cumbrian was a huge success.
There was all sorts on offer, including cookery demonstrations, food and drink stalls and entertainment for the children.
This is the fifth Food and Drink festival the castle has held over the May Day bank holiday.
Gemma Mower, of Egremont, attended with her husband, Ryan, and daughters Cadie and Amelia.
She said: “It was a great family day out.
“There was lots on offer and we all had a brilliant time.”
Gregg Benbow, of Egremont, went with family and friends.
He said: “There was lots of tasty food and drink, with plenty of stalls selling goods.
“We really enjoyed our day.”
The reigning Fool of Muncaster, Frumpid Stumplestone, performed daily and there was a marquee showcasing a selection of Cumbrian sausage.
