The challenging Lakesman triathlon marked the halfway mark for men trying to raise money for defibrillators in their small village.
Mark Varty and Brian Atkinson took on the gruelling challenge and are now looking forward to joining other friends from Flimby in a Coast to Coast challenge.
Mr Varty said Mr Atkinson completed the entire triathlon in 12:41:54.
"I did half in 05:50:47. We were both over the moon with our results. We would both like to thank everyone who was there to support us and everyone who has so far contributed to the defibrillators."
In four weeks time, the two men will be joined by Lee Wilson, Darren Page, Carl Routledge, Lee Maxwell, Stuart Nelson and Callum Moffat to cycle from Whitehaven to South Shields.
The men are aiming o buy two defibrillators for Fimhy, one for the top of the village and one at the other end.
Mr Varty said: "I think we're one of the only villages that haven't got one."
