A WEST Cumbrian man was fined for smashing a car windscreen after he was thrown out of a pub.
Andrew McCrickeid, 24, of Victoria Road, Workington, pleaded guilty to criminal damage when he appeared at the magistrates court in Workington on Friday.
Amy Labram, prosecuting, told magistrates the incident happened on August 12 outside the Junction pub in Workington.
She said: "The defendant and the victim were unknown to each other. The defendant was ejected from the pub due to his behaviour.
"He punched the back of the vehicle and the rear windscreen smashed."
McCrickeid was located and arrested.
Representing himself, he said: "What happened, happened, it was stupid."
He was fined £290 and was told to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
McCrickeid must also pay £500 compensation to the victim.
