Two men have been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an incident in Workington's town centre today.
Cumbria police were called to Murray Road at around 11.50am and officers arrested two men, both aged 57, from Maryport.
A police spokesman said the two men are currently in police custody.
The bottom half of Murray Road, between K2 Fashion and William Hill bookmakers, was closed while police attended the scene.
Local businesses confirmed that Murray Road was gridlocked for a time, but it is open again now.
