West Cumbrian road reopens after crash, as driver taken to hospital
A main road in West Cumbria has now reopened following a crash .
Police were called out to a two vehicle accident on the A596 near Flimby at about 1.50pm this afternoon.
The road was closed as emergency services dealt with the incident.
The two vehicles involved were a silver Vauxhall Astra and a silver Citroen Relay van.
The driver of the Astra was taken to hospital but no serious injuries have been reported at this time.
The road has now been re-opened.
