IT is sadly typical that on most Bank Holidays the skies are overcast, yet at a time when most of us are still in lockdown the sun this Bank Holiday Monday was splitting the trees.
Ah well... put your feet up and reminisce, then, as we cast our minds back to bygone Bank Holidays.
It feels a lifetime ago doesn’t it? A time of country fairs, music festivals, exhibitions, local history re-enactments, a Reds match, or even just a stroll in the fresh air.
Look on the bright side, we only have to wait till the end of August for the next one.
Here’s hoping there’ll be plenty to see and do by then – and that more of us will be able to get out and enjoy ourselves.
