A REMINDER has been issued to the public on the symptoms of Covid-19 and what to do if you think you may have contracted the coronavirus.

The UK Government and the NHS are warning the public to self isolate if they experience, a loss or change in smell and taste, a new and continuous cough and a temperature or fever.

Those who experience these symptoms are being asked to book a free NHS coronavirus test within the first five days and notify those they have been in contact with in the last 48 hours.

A test can also be booked for someone you live with they are suffering from the symptoms of coronavirus.

If members of the public experience these symptoms or are contacted by the NHS Test and Trace service, they must self isolated. This means staying home for fourteen days. Those who have been told to self isolate are asked not to leave the house for any reason including food and medicine.

It is advised that these essentials are ordered online, by phone or delivered by a family member.
