Rescue crews were called to help a trawler in trouble.
Workington RNLI sailed to the rescue when Belfast Coastguard alerted it to reports of a trawler having difficulty off the Maryport coast earlier today.
The volunteer crew launched the all-weather lifeboat, Dorothy May White, at 9.43am.
The vessel in trouble – a 15-metre Silver Stream, which is used to fish for shellfish – was towed to safety by the crew, after suffering mechanical failure, and all three people onboard were found safe and well.
The lifeboat returned to the station at 11.45am.
