A SCOTTISH man has been handed a community order after he admitted assaulting a woman in Cumbria.
Alan Jon Arnold Lowery, 25, of Hunter Drive, Irvine, appeared at Workington Magistrates Court on Friday.
He admitted a charge of assault relating to an incident on December 18 last year at Winifred Street in Workington.
Lowery was handed a community order and must carry out 100 hours unpaid work within the next 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay compensation of £100, a £95 victim surcharge, and £85 costs.
