A SEARCH for a 30-year-old swimmer who went missing n Crummock Water on Friday will continue today.

Crummock Water has been the scene of a multi-agency search by Cumbrian emergency services since Friday afternoon as a man from London in his thirties has been reported missing after entering the lake.

In an update this morning, a spokesman for Cumbria Police said the search, which included a specialist underwater diving team, were still searching Crummock today.

This was the first of two water-related incidents last week.

The second ended in tragedy when the body of teenager Mohammad Abdul Hamid known as Hamid, 16, of Barrock Street, Carlisle was recovered from the River Eden near Stoney Holme on Sunday after another multi-agency search of the river.
