A POPULAR café in Penrith has been the victim of a computer hack.

Llama Karma Kafé had appeared to have posted on their Facebook page and on their website that they have decided to close up shop for good, something that had caused disappointment in the café's loyal customers.

However, it has since been discovered that it was not the case, and that the café, that operated at the same site as Llama's Pyjama's which offers Llama actvities and rides, had been the victim of an unfortunate and viscious computer hack that caused a spread of confidential false information to be posted publicly.

A representative from Llama's Pyjamas had said that the posts had been made in a way that the poster had no right to announce or say, and that the account had been hacked.

They did not confirm or deny whether or not the café was going to close or not for good, and maintained that the information was confidential and had no right to be posted and should not be considered as verbatim or at all the position from the café at this time.

The post, now deleted, said: ""Just to update all of our customers, sadly the Llama Karma Kafe will not be reopening,

"We have loved welcoming and serving so many amazing people over the many years we've been open. We all have lots of wonderful memories but sadly it's time to say goodbye to the place the llamas have called home for over 14 years!

"We will still be operating our llama treks and animal encounters from our site at Ravenstone Manor in Melmerby.

"We'd like to thank everyone who has visited us and supported us since we opened."
