Hospice at Home West Cumbria has partnered up with local guiding company Lakeland Mountain Guides to host their Buttermere Horseshoe challenge for the third year running on September 25.
The event will be led by the knowledgeable and enthusiastic Lakeland Mountain Guides and participants will enjoy a challenging fell walk of the epic Buttermere Horseshoe.
There will be two route options to choose from – The ‘Full Horseshoe’, and the ‘Half Horseshoe’ challenge.
The full Horseshoe Challenge takes in no fewer than eight peaks, totalling 1,400m ascent and 12.5 miles walked.
For those who would rather take on a shorter distance, the half Horseshoe Challenge takes in no fewer than four peaks, totalling 875m ascent and 6.5 miles walked.
