AN APPLICATION has been submitted to change a teashop into a holiday cottage.
Mr and Mrs Hughes of Seaville Farm have submitted an application to Allerdale Borough Council seeking permission to change the Silloth farm's tearoom into a holiday cottage.
The teashop at Seaville Farm was a family run venture until its closure in July.
The single storey building currently houses a tearoom seating around 40 people and a fully functioning catering kitchen.
Its proprietor retired in July and the building is now redundant.
Disabled access and a designated car park is already in place at the site.
In the Planning Statement, the applicant said: "All work will be carried out to a very high standard by construction professionals to comply and in many cases go beyond the requirements of the current Building Regulations, and where appropriate the Building for Life Design Standards."
