Keeping fit is essential, but it doesn’t need to be boring.

This company knows that all too well, and that’s what kept their franchise in business for over three years now.

Bounce – stylised as ((BOUNCE)) – is a worldwide fitness organisation that provides cardio classes on trampolines.

People of all ages and sizes take to the trampolines and bounce, dance and jog to burn those calories, accompanied by music.

Rachael Blaney runs two Bounce franchises, one in Whitehaven and the other in Workington, which saw three years of trading last month.

Rachael said of seeing one of her franchises turn three: “It is amazing.

“I am from Whitehaven but I am now living in London”

Rachael moved down to London to become a dancer and noticed that dance fitness would work well, particularly for Workington.

She added: “I run it remotely, I have a team up in Workington who manage timetables and guide the classes, I have two franchises in London which I also teach at.”

Rachael has a dance background, and so found the transition to becoming a dance fitness instructor and franchise runner easy.

She became an instructor in 2016, and opened her Whitehaven franchise in 2018, then opened the Workington franchise in 2019.

Rachael said of the clientele: “I have people who have never done fitness before.

“Everyone is of different shapes and sizes.

“People normally come four times a week,” which is how often they run classes.

“Those who do not go to the gym will come to us two to four times a week, other people come to mis up their cardio if they workout regularly at the gym

.”It’s like an experience for everyone.

“We’ve got a little church hall in Workington, and everyone is there not just to exercise but to have a chat too.”

It’s a friendly environment that they have cultivated, and they pride themselves on this fact: “We can adapt the moves to make everyone more fit.

“We’re breaking the stigma of exercise being only for certain people, we make it inclusive for everyone.”
