HERE are our Pets of the Week, courtesy of Oak Tree Animals’ Charity.

JACK

Meet our lovely boy Jack. He is an English Pointer aged 4 years. Jack sadly came in for rehoming due to his owner’s ill health.

Jack came in with another dog called Eli, who is also on our website. If we had a perfect home for the pair of them then that would be wonderful but they do have slightly different needs so we are also looking at homing them separately.

Their ability to be homed with other dogs is currently under assessment.

Jack has always been a pet rather than a working Pointer, but he has never lived in a house, so he will need owners who are happy to house train him.

Times and Star: Jack the PointerJack the Pointer

He is quite a shy boy who is gentle but lively and quickly warms to new people. He has not lived with cats or children, so we would be looking for an adult home or older children. Jack will need to learn about being left alone in a home and will, therefore, need someone around much of the time initially.

If you are interested in Jack, please email us in the first instance and tell us a bit about yourself and say why you feel you may be the right person for him. Please include a phone number in your email: smallanimalteam@oaktreeanimals.org.uk.

MAGIC

Magic is a beautiful older lady (11 years) who has unfortunately lost her sight. For this reason, she will need a spacious home with owners who can help her get used to her new surroundings. Magic is affectionate and, although she can’t see, she will always find her way over to you for a fuss.

Due to having a long coat, Magic will need regular grooming to keep her in tip-top condition.

We are looking for a quiet home, with no young children or other pets as Magic has a medical condition which can be triggered by stress. This condition is easily managed by diet and we can discuss this with any potential adopters.

If you want to find out more information about Magic please email smallanimalteam@oaktreeanimals.org.uk with your name, address, contact number and a bit of information about yourself.
