Flimby's children's carnival is back this Saturday.
The carnival parade will be followed by a fun day on the village rugby field.
One of the aims of carnival organisers is to try and make the event affordable to all.
Wrist bands will be on sale at affordable prices which entitles children to a variety of free activities. This year, however, some of the free inflatables will not be available for health and safety reasons.
However, there will be plenty of other free activities, and Taylor's fair will be on the grounds as a paid attraction. Floats and entries are to gather at Flimby School before judging at 1pm.
The parade begins at32pm and will follow its usual route up Ryehill Road, onto Sthelen's, up St Nicholas and onto Wedgewood Road, down West Lane to the rugby field.
OrganiserKaren Markham has called for drivers to be patient. There will be rolling stoppages but as soon as it is safe the roads will be reopened.
