POLICE are investigating an assault which took place in Workington at the weekend.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of November 13, took place on Washington Street.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Constabulary said: "The assault occurred between midnight and 1am when a woman was assaulted by three other women who are reported to have kicked and punched her, causing injuries to her face and body.
