Let's Talk is both the name and the aim of a conference being held in Cockermouth tomorrow (Thursday).

Organised by Cockermouth Rotary Club, the day will see short presentations on all aspects of mental health and the need to address them.

Among the speakers will be Cumbria's own Andy Airey, from Morland, who was one of the "Three Dads Walking" who raised over £1 million by walking the country raising awareness and cash after their daughter committed suicide.

Also present tomorrow will be Alison Oglanby who set up a support charity in Maryport after her son took his own life.

The conference will be held at Christ Church on South Street from 9.30am until 2pm.

Market Place stalls will feature details about help agencies and how to achieve good mental health.
