A hard-working team of young farmers stepped in to help plant a town hedge beside an exposed play area.
Greysouthen Young Farmers planted 96 metres of hawthorn hedge along the back boundary of Towers Lane play area in Cockermouth.
Town councillor David Malloy had approached them and was delighted when they agreed to help.
He is a member of the council's Climate Change Committee, which had come up with the idea.
"They did it as part of their YF community challenge, a team of 13 or 14 of them planted up and staked 96 metres of hedge.
"They worked hard and did a great job. It looks fantastic," said Cllr Malloy, who helped out along with Cllr Richard Watson.
The project was partially funded by Cumbria County Council.
