AN EASTER trail aimed at making people understand why the season is celebrated, will take place in Workington.

10 watercolours are being displayed in shop windows in Workington, each has a word or two associated with it.

They are part of an Easter-themed trail organised by Churches Together in Workington & District. The challenge is to arrange the words to make a sentence that explains why Christians celebrate Easter.

Additionally, you can join a prayer walk on Saturday, April 8 that will set off from St Michael’s Church at 11am (or you can join at the Carnegie shortly after).

There will be a reflection at each watercolour ‘station’ as the story of Easter unfolds.

A QR Code on each poster takes you to more information on the Churches Together Facebook Page.

On Easter Sunday morning, April, 9 at 6am,  there will be a meeting at the top of Shore Hills for a ‘Sonrise’ service to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the first Easter Day.
