The future of Maryport Carnival is in the community's hands.
This year's event, on Saturday, July 8, is the final curtain call for the existing committee.
They are keen to hand over the reins to interested parties and show them the ropes for future events. A meeting will be held next month to discuss the carnival's future.
This current committee was re-formed in 2016.
Since then it has experienced fantastic support from the people of Maryport and local villages when carrying out preparations for the annual, much-loved celebration.
"We would love to see this wonderful community event continue for years to come," said a spokesman.

All are welcome to the meeting at The Waverley hotel, at 7pm, on Thursday, May 4.
